Many candles are made from paraffin wax. Paraffin is derived from petroleum, a fossil fuel that can release harmful substances when burned. Scientific research has shown that burning paraffin candles releases soot particles and toxic substances such as benzene and toluene, which can cause health problems with prolonged exposure. Furthermore, many candle wicks contain metals, such as lead, which can also be released during burning and affect indoor air quality.

At DIX DIX collection, we consciously choose a healthier and more environmentally friendly alternative. Our candles are made from 100% natural rapeseed wax, a vegan and sustainable choice. Rapeseed wax comes from Europe, contributes to biodiversity, and ensures a clean, slow burn without harmful substances. In addition, our candles feature wicks made from organic cotton, free from harmful chemicals and pesticides often found in traditional wicks.

Parabens, SLS & SLES

At DIX DIX collection, we believe in purity and health. That's why all our products are completely free of parabens and SLS & SLES. Parabens are often used as preservatives but can be endocrine disruptors and cause irritation, especially for sensitive skin. SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) are added to make products lather but can dry out and irritate the skin.
