Handmade in the Netherlands

All our products are handcrafted with care and love in the Netherlands. By performing as many production processes as possible ourselves, we keep CO2 emissions low and guarantee the highest quality. We work exclusively with European suppliers to limit transport distances and strive for green transport. Wherever possible, we choose suppliers within the Netherlands, which not only reduces our ecological footprint but also contributes to local economies. Local production not only means that we shorten transport distances, but also that we have control over every detail of our production and can guarantee quality.

100% natural

Rapeseed wax candles

Most candles are made from paraffin wax, an inexpensive byproduct of petroleum refining that releases small particles into the air which are harmful to your health. We have opted for natural rapeseed wax, sourced from European crops. Rapeseed wax is not only vegan and 100% natural, but also biodegradable. This crop plays an important role as a soil improver and contributes to the preservation of biodiversity by attracting bees and other insects. Thanks to the clean and slow burning of rapeseed wax, our candles offer significantly more burning hours than the average candle. In addition, our candles feature an organic cotton wick, free from harmful chemicals and pesticides often found in traditional wicks.

Recycling and reuse

At DIX DIX, we are proud of our completely plastic-free and 100% recyclable packaging. The glassware is an eye-catcher in any interior, encouraging the reuse of our products. We ourselves reuse waste materials from Ellemijn's partner's textile company as void fill and packaging material, contributing to a circular economy. Our shipping boxes are made from recycled cardboard, which helps to further reduce our environmental impact.

All products from the DIX DIX collection are completely vegan and cruelty-free. This means that our products contain no animal ingredients or by-products and are never tested on animals.
